Now ChatGPT users can explore the vast expanse of the internet, thanks to OpenAI’s latest enhancements. The Microsoft-backed OpenAI announced this exciting feature on September 27, breaking its earlier September 2021 deadline.
Using ChatGPT’s recent API, websites can control how it interacts within their domains. With this groundbreaking update, ChatGPT will become even more versatile.
ChatGPT New Features
ChatGPT currently offers web browsing to Plus and Enterprise users, with plans to expand to all users in the near future. Select “Browse with Bing” from the options under GPT-4 to activate this feature. OpenAI announced this on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).
ChatGPT Voice Conversations and More
It’s not over yet for OpenAI. In another major update announced earlier this week, ChatGPT now supports voice conversations and image interactions. ChatGPT is now one step closer to joining Apple’s Siri in the league of AI assistants.
Within its premium ChatGPT Plus offering, OpenAI had previously tested a feature that enabled users to access the latest information through the Bing search engine. Due to concerns that users might be able to bypass paywalls, this feature has been temporarily disabled.
ChatGPT has had an incredible journey. In January, it became the fastest-growing consumer application in history, with 100 million monthly active users. Despite being overtaken by Meta’s Threads app, ChatGPT’s rise has significantly increased investor interest in OpenAI.
It has recently been reported that OpenAI is in discussions with shareholders regarding a possible sale of existing shares at a much higher valuation than just a few months ago.
Artificial intelligence continues to advance, and ChatGPT’s evolution exemplifies the remarkable progress in the field.
Now that ChatGPT can browse the internet, its potential is greater than ever. We’ll update you as OpenAI redefines artificial intelligence interaction in the future.
