The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that left-arm bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi as vice-captain of the Pakistan Test Team. The decision places Afridi as the deputy to Shan Masood, the newly chosen Test captain.
Shan Masood and Shaheen Afridi, the squad’s captaincy duo, are ready to lead the team in the upcoming Test series against Australia, which starts on Thursday.
Further, Afridi previously captained Pakistan’s T20I cricket team after the resignation of Babar Azam, demonstrating the cricket board’s trust in his leadership capacity.
