A 16-year-old Pakistani-British student Mahnoor Cheema who has made history with an extraordinary achievement. At the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) level, she passed 34 subjects, setting a new record for the UK and EU.
This ambitious achievement places Mahnoor at the forefront of academic excellence. Notably, she earned A* grades in 17 subjects during Year 10, making her the highest scorer in the history of UK and EU GCSEs. Recently, she added another 17 subjects to her repertoire, taking her total to 34.
Mahnoor’s parents, Barrister Usman Cheema and Tayyaba Cheema, originally from Lahore, Pakistan, immigrated to the UK to pursue higher education. After attending a private school in Lahore, Mahnoor started her educational journey at Langley Grammar School in West London.
This young student not only excels academically but also demonstrates exceptional intelligence. She scored 161 on the Mensa IQ Test, which places her ahead of luminaries like Albert Einstein, whose IQ is estimated at 160. Mahnoor is ranked in the top 1% of the world’s intelligent population for this accomplishment.

At the age of 15, she took the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT) and the Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT), scoring in the 99th percentile on both tests.
