Following a formal complaint from Indian lawyer Vineet Jindal, Zainab Abbas, decided to leave India on Monday.
Jindal accused her of previously making “anti-Hindu” statements on social media.
In a message released on ‘X,’ Zainab addressed the subject and apologized for her previous social media statements.

“I want to clarify that I was neither asked to leave nor deported from India,” Zainab clarified.
Although there was no immediate danger to my safety, my family and friends on both sides of the border
“I felt the need for some space and time to process what had happened.”
She apologized for any harm caused by her previous posts, emphasizing that they do not reflect her current identity.
Zainab said, “There is no excuse or justification for such language, and I sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended.”
