Gold prices in Pakistan decreased by Rs. 4,000 per fool for the second consecutive week.
Gold (24 carats) went down by Rs. 4,000 per sheet to Rs. 221,500, while 10 grams of gold went down by Rs. 3,430 to Rs. 189,900, according to All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA).
On Monday, gold’s price fell by Rs. 1,750 per tola on its opening day. Within just the first two days of the current week, gold prices have fallen by more than Rs. 5,500 per tola.
This is the lowest gold price in Pakistan in over a month. Gold last fell below Rs. 220,000 per tola on May 2.
By 1016 GMT, spot gold was trading at $1,963.29 per ounce, up 0.3 percent from yesterday’s close. US gold futures were trading at $1,976.80, up 0.4 percent from yesterday’s close.
